Mobile App Development
Nobody wants another app that just takes up room on their phone. It has to make something easier, like signing into an account, booking a service or keeping up with an order. Wilton Web talks through what people would actually use before starting work. If an app fits, we’ll design and build it for iPhone and Android, publish it and keep helping after launch.
Our first question is pretty simple:
App Strategy
Sometimes all you need is a site that works really well on phones. An app is more useful when people come back often or need reminders, a camera feature or access without a connection. We’ll talk through the tradeoffs so you’re not paying to build something you don’t need.
What Your App Might Do
You don’t need to put everything into the app. Pick the things people will open it to do again and again, like these.
What an App Costs
We’ll help you figure out which features really belong in the app, then put the work, price and schedule in writing.
We'll count the screens, look at who needs to log in and check whether the app must talk to your other software.
Often, we can build it once for both iPhone and Android. If that's the right fit, it saves extra work.
We put together the store listing and pictures, deal with the review paperwork and submit it to the two app stores.
We'll keep an eye on phone updates, fix things that stop working and help add the changes you need after launch.
Got an App in Mind?
Give us a call and tell us the idea. We’ll explain the work involved and whether an app makes sense for your business.
Mobile App Questions
Could I just use my website instead?
If customers just want to look something up, a mobile site may be enough. But regular booking, ordering or alerts can make an app useful. We’ll explain both options before you spend on development.
Will iPhones and Androids work?
Usually, yes. We can often make the same app work on both. If there’s a special feature involved, we’ll talk through the choices.
How soon can an app go live?
A simple app might be a much smaller job than one with payments and accounts. Once we agree on the features, we’ll lay out each step of the schedule so you can plan around it.
Can the app talk to our site?
Usually. The app may be able to share customer accounts, products and appointments with your website. We’ll check how your tools connect before giving you a quote.
